ARRL Field Day
June 22 @ 10:00 am - June 23 @ 2:00 pm
Field Day is ham radio’s open house.
Every June, more than 40,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio’s science, skill, and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933, and remains the most popular event in ham radio. (From the ARRL web site)
We will be on the air for 24 hours to practice HF and VHF message passing, operations in real environments, and hand off of control. If you want to see a ham in operation, get on the air, or learn more about ham radio this is your day.
Setup starts at 10 am on June 22nd and tear down is at at noon on June 23rd. Hope you can join us!
Location – Cherry Creek Valley Water District Facility (The field behind Ham Radio Outlet)
